The Athens-Clarke County Commission voted unanimously to
impose a mandatory shelter in place order.
All services, including the Sunday celebration of the Mass are suspended.
Additionally theparish physical plant and office is closed. Please note the following changes and protocol for the immediate future:
The parish office will still be accessible by phone during office hours via call forwarding and
frequent checking of voicemail.
Although not open to parishioners at this time,
the Tuesday-Friday daily Masses will continue to be offered by the clergy.
Our spiritual response:
I. Live streaming of Sunday Masses, Bible study, and other spiritual exercises. We are
currently working on this and will advise once we are up and running.
II. Home visits with Holy Communion for all who request it. You do not have to be
sick or infirm. The Sacrament is available to all who ask. Please call or email and
we’ll schedule a convenient time.
III. Weekly E-Bulletin updates.
IV. Frequent personal emails sent out to all parishioners by the rector and vestry
members to express our concern and encouragement.
V. Confession and one-on-one pastoral counseling will still be available. There are
different procedures in place, so please contact me directly for these services.
Please remember your continued financial support of the parish. Checks can be mailed to
800 Timothy Road, Athens, 30606. You may also have your financial institution
automatically send your offering via check to us at the parish address. This is a service
that is frequently used by our members. Other means may be available in the future as
well. Your continued support, especially in these trying times is extremely important.
