The Guild of Saint Monica is an intercessory prayer ministry for parents. Chartered in 2026, the Guild gathers to pray for their children, just as Saint Monica prayed for her son, the future Doctor of the Church, Saint Augustine of Hippo.
The Guild meets on one Saturday a month (check the calendar) to pray and fellowship.
The Society of Mary is an international devotional society dedicated to the deepening of our love for Jesus Christ through the example and prayers of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Rooted in the Catholic tradition of Anglicanism, the Society encourages its members to holiness through prayer, faithful participation in the sacraments, and a life of Christian service.
Our Our Lady of Lourdes Chapter at St. Stephen's Church gathers parishioners for Mass, Marian devotions, and fellowship throughout the year, specifically on the first Saturday of the Month (check the calendar).
Ministry Partners
The Ark provides emergency financial assistance, financial education, and asset building programs to low income working families when they are faced with an unexpected financial crisis. It is our vision to provide hope, help, understanding, and advocacy for our neighbors helping them move toward self-sufficiency and stability.
Bigger Vision of Athens is a nonprofit emergency shelter dedicated to serving individuals experiencing homelessness in our community. Founded in 1998 by Ann Clark as a temporary winter shelter in the basement of St. James United Methodist Church, Bigger Vision has grown into a year-round ministry of hospitality and hope. Today, the organization provides safe overnight shelter, hot meals, showers, laundry facilities, and connections to resources that help guests move toward stable, permanent housing. Their work is sustained through the generosity of volunteers, churches, businesses, and individual donors across Athens, reflecting a community-wide commitment to caring for our most vulnerable neighbors.
